We are so excited to be back for “ A Tribute to the Great American Cowboy
PRCA Rodeo”, November 4, 2023. During the Covid Pandemic we postponed our event and waited on our community to bounce back financially to resume this event. This event has been awarded the PRCA Indoor Rodeo of the Year, and Rodeo of the Year in the Mountain States Circuit. It truly is “Where Champions Ride.”

We started the rodeo after Chris LeDoux passed away in 2005 and it was known as A Tribute to Chris LeDoux PRCA Rodeo. A tribute to his abilities as an artist, musician, and rodeo World Champion. A Tribute to Chris LeDoux was awarded the 2005 Small Indoor Rodeo of theYear in the PRCA, out of 740 rodeos. At the request of the LeDoux family Chris’s name was removed. Since 2011 the rodeo changed its name to A Tribute to the Great American Cowboy, now honoring all Cowboys. Our rodeo has many World Champion cowboys and NFR qualifiers, entered every year. We honor our Military Troops as well as First Responders.

Each year, the Great American Cowboy honors a Child through the Jason’s Friends Foundation.
Our mission is to share the blessing of our western heritage with children whose lives are or
have been affected by childhood cancer. These children get to experience being a cowboy or
cowgirl for a day, and they are recognized horseback during the rodeo. Murdochs so kindly
dresses them in full cowboy attire and they and their family are treated, as our guests, to a
night at the rodeo….to forget their medical issues, to have some fun, and be a real cowkid!
